AICTE’s CMAT, which was lately announced, has not seen any positive response from the b-schools so far. The registration process for CMAT 2012 had already begun from December 9, 2011 and will continue till January 9, 2012.
The body also put up a trial test on its official website on December 12, 2011, which had some technical issues including the buttons for switching between questions being unresponsive at times, while many debated about the pattern of questions asked in the trial test.
Not just the technical issues and pattern of questions in the trail test are daunting, but the problem is even bigger for CMAT. AICTE has not yet declared the list of b-schools who shall be accepting CMAT 2012 scores, rather its website says, all AICTE affiliated institutes / universities shall be accepting the scores. The vague picture been put up by AICTE has left aspirants as well as b-schools wondering. Also, the exam is announced too late and most of the b-schools have already started their admission process.
